Cannot reproduce with latest svn. Does this behavior also happen when you start a blank project, add a clip and insert space, or does the bug only appear when you have several clips on timeline? If it is only in some circumstances, please post a screenshot of your timeline.

Checked with an empty project - the same behaviour. Here you can find screenshots I made: [^] . I tested it a few times, always with the same effect. I also noticed that undoing everything (clean) causes app crash.

I tested this, works fine. Do you still have this problem, Avaer?

Altough the timeline gets refreshed, I managed to get Kdenlive crash when playing with the operation history. Please let me have some time to test it, I'm busy atm.

The error reported itself had gone (the timeline gets refreshed properly), but...

there might be a bug related with inserting space and "playing" with the undo/redo.

How to reproduce: Add a clip, insert space before it, undo all operations, redo all operations - Kdenlive crashes. If it does not, add an action (move clip, add clip, etc.) after inserting the space and play with undoing/redoing all.

I know this is tough crashtesting, but... you may find that bug important to repair.

The version I use is: 0.7.8 (KDE 4.5.4)

I tested but cannot reproduce the crash. Could you provide a backtrace?
See [^] for more infos about creating a backtrace.

Thanks. Looks like MLT is trying to use the nvidia VDPAU:

[New Thread 0x7fffcd618700 (LWP 5514)]
Failed to open VDPAU backend nie mo?na otworzy? pliku obiektu dzielonego: Nie ma takiego pliku ani katalogu

Can you this:

In a terminal, type:
export MLT_NO_VDPAU=1;kdenlive

Then try to open your project...

It crashes again. Here, a backtrace with MLT_NO_VDPAU=1 exported, I'm not sure if it is necessary: [^]
