Summary0001789: Similar to bug 0001365, but appears to be deeper. Frame sequence is messed up, and appear to be drawing from random producers.
DescriptionThis has also been confirmed on 32bit Ubuntu 10.04.1, and 64bit Ubuntu 10.04.1.

Included please find a project file that exposes the flaw in question.

Note that in each of the 4 instances of the wave effect, the results are
not as expected. Experimentation has yielded a variety of results, none
of which are as advertised. Examination suggests that either melt or
kdenlive itself is getting confused, and is pulling from a random producer
(sometimes the output of the last transition in a chain!).

The effect also appears to violate in/out boundaries, as the wave effects
in this test project were built to occur at the same time as the keyframed
brightness changes, but in the rendered output the brightness changed
don't occur at the right times (if at all). This is not the case without
the wave effect in place.

Interestingly, previewing in the project monitor (try non-real-time to see
each frame) sometimes shows the wave effect working as advertised,
sometimes not.

Steps To ReproduceSee attached files
Additional InformationAlthough always reproducible, the results are subtly different each time
I try to reproduce the problem. Combination with other effect (like fade
in from black) can affect the severity of the problem (better or worse),
but apparently not in a deterministic way.

Also (although these would be a separate bug report), despite many
attempts to move the wave and boxblur effects to the bottom of each effects
stack, after a save, close, and re-open, they re-appear towards the top.
AND, the panandzoom and/or fadefromblack effects disappear as a result.
When re-added, saved, closed, and re-opened, we now see to copies of
the previously disappeared effect in the stack.

Sorry, the attempt to report the bug appears to have revealed a number
of others :(
