|0001930||Kdenlive||MLT||public||2010-12-19 16:29||2011-01-03 19:28|
|Platform||AMD Sempron (GeForce 8400 GS)||OS||Linux Mint, based on Ubuntu 9.10||OS Version||9.10 Karmic|
|Target Version||Fixed in Version|
|Summary||0001930: no preview during playback (when I drag the pointer on the timeline it works fine)|
|Description||There is no preview during playback (PAL 720x576 DV footage). I has been trying several other codecs without any result. Standalone ffplay doesn't show anything too (just plays sound). Same thing with melt (and with melt test_file.kdenlive). Just black window. |
In the kdenlive it shows background colour. I deactivate Compiz and try to run it with this env variable (XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1) http://www.kdenlive.org/user-manual/troubleshooting-and-common-problems/why-monitor-transparent-during-playback-works-when-d [^]
without any result.
when I switch playback driver from automatic on X11 I've got picture but it's squeezed to top and with a green field on the bottom (see attachment). Other drivers just cause crashing.
|Steps To Reproduce||I just play any DV footage with a same result|
|Additional Information||I was trying to update GeForce proprietary driver for newest and trying to play with xorg settings. without any success. Everything was done with inactive Comize.|

If ffplay does not play the video than you have either a problem with your ffmpeg install or with SDL.
Do other files work (no DV)?
