Summary0002635: Audio/Video sync issue
DescriptionMelt is 0.8.0

When I sync up the Audio and Video tracks in kdenlive to look perfect in the project monitor, they are slightly out of sync when rendered. Advancing the video track to the beginning of the timeline by 5 frames yields a better render. However, this makes editing in kdenlive difficult.
Steps To ReproduceCreate .MTS file with camera
Create .WAV file with audio recorder
Transcode .MTS file to DNxHD 145kbps 1080p 30fps
Create 1920 x 1080 30fps project
Add the Audio / Video files to project and timeline
Set audio reference on the video clip in timeline
Set align audio to reference on the audio clip in timeline
Play and watch in Project Monitor - In Sync

Render to MPEG-2 video bit rate of 18000
Play in VLC - Video is slow by about 5 frames
Additional InformationI originally discovered this with projects at 29.97fps
Rendering to MPEG-2 or VOB yields the same failure.

In 1 test, I split the audio from the cameras video file, using it on the audio track, and it had the same failure.

bump ... this should be an URGENT issue; kdenlive is basically UNUSABLE until this is fixed.

seems to be an MLT issue (see 0002694), please upgrade MLT as soon as fixed ;-)

MLT was recently updated to fix similar bug 2694, could you check if you problem is solved as well?
