Summary0002800: Applying a SOP/SAT effect to any clip results in combed histogram on default settings. Fast math x64 compile option error?
DescriptionApplying a SOP/SAT effect to a video clip immediately combs histogram showing levels are getting shifted even though default SOP/SAT settings should not affect image based on their initial values.

This was also a problem with blender histogram / scopes recently, only in x64 builds, didn't affect 32bit builds and I believe it was due to a 'Fast Math' compile option causing the error, which passes through to the image / encode.

Possibly this could be the reason or at least a starting point to find the cause in kdenlive, I have only tried on x64 builds of kdenlive and for many months it has happened.
Steps To ReproduceImport a video clip.

View histogram.

Add SOP/SAT effect.

See combing / gaps appear in the histogram without any move of sliders.

Extract frame to .png from Project Window, view image in The Gimp, look at histogram and notice identical gaps in histogram compared to kdenlive.

Illustrates that it isn't just a histogram display error, but a error in the SOP/SAT filter.
