Summary0002942: Kdenlive git: issue with asf file (with sample attached)
DescriptionIf I put the attached asf file (generated by a Foscam FI9820W camera) in kdenlive, the first seconds are not displayed correctly (it shows a static image instead). The video has date and time at upper right corner and you can notice it won't update in the first seconds inside kdenlive.
Steps To ReproduceLoad the attached asf sample file and try to play inside kdenlive or render.
Additional InformationI tested the same file with mplayer and it plays fine so it's a problem with kdenlive or mlt.
TagsNo tags attached.
Build/Install MethodManual build from Git
Attached Filesgz file icon sample.tar.gz [^] (5,820,854 bytes) 2013-01-15 09:37

I took a look at this, and I see the reason why, but the only obvious fix is too risky for good seek & sync support on all other files and formats that are work good today. So, I am not going to do anything about it, and you will need to transcode it if you want those few seconds at the beginning.

ddennedy, isn't possible to make an exception?

why is the reason it happens? It would be interesting to know, because someone could be interested in providing at least a workaround, since you're not going to fix. Thanks.
