|Summary||0003109: Feature request: Clip from timeline to project tree copy|
|Description||When you edit a clip in timeline (shorten it) and you want to manipulate this exact edit, you have to do your edits again in clip tree when you want to i.e. stabilize it. Would be nice to transfer this edited clip back to the project tree.|
|Tags||No tags attached.|
|Build/Install Method||Distribution package|
This functionality already exists, after a fashion. If you just want to shorten a clip, then select the length you want in the preview window by setting in point and out point.
Then, right click on the clip itself, and select Extract Zone.
I agree with you, though, it would be nice to be able to have this functionality on the timeline as well.
