Summary0003352: melt executable uses all RAM until it crashes when exporting with KDEnlive
DescriptionI use KDEnlive quite frequently and since March 2014 I can not export in anything but MP4. This is due to melt executable eating all the ram + swap and then crash. (that is > 12B).

If I export only a very short video, it gets rendered but the audio is faster than the video and pitch sound weird.

The problem seems to be related to libav in combination with MLT. Using simple avconv command I could not reproduce it though. Here the related bug report on libav: [^]

That seems to be fixed, but comments suggest that it is still happening. And it is to mee, also.

Below are 2 other bug report related to this issue, one for KDEnlive and another for Audacity on the Sabayon bugtracker: [^] [^]
Steps To ReproduceTry to render any video as H.264 or basically anything but MPEG when the system has a recent libav and no ffmpeg.
